Title
Nebraska Refugee Training and Placement Program
Description
The Nebraska Refugee Job Training and Placement (RJTP) Program has been developed by DED to assist Nebraska-based non-profit organizations for the purpose of job training and placement grants for employment and employability services for refugees. The RJTP Program is intended to help bridge the disparities in employment and income between the refugee and native-born population. The RJTP Program will help non-profit organizations working to provide vocational, certification, language, and professional development opportunities through various placement models that extend into positions of employment. The RJTP Program is an authorized use of funding from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) (Assistance Listing 21.027) which was designed to provide state governments with the resources needed to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic effects and to build a stronger economy during recovery.
